uniball Signo love

There's this love for uniball Signo Pens, especially the white one which is very opaque against black / dark cardstocks. Came upon the multicolored ones, angelic colors at popular bookstore near my place. Succumbed to buying them and tried it out at home. Very satisfied opaque colors against the black CS. Get your hands on them, if you are near to any local bookstores / stationary shops. Some online shops that sell the uniball white gel ink in opaque: • stampin' up!jetpens

It’s a Glorious Sunday

Sunday, always a lovely start of the week as we worship our Daddy God in The Star. We had a guest speaker, Pastor Brian Houston today! He is from Hillsong Australia and today's message was pretty impactful. He preached about Glorious Ruins and this message was expound from the upcoming release of Hillsong 22nd album, Glorious Ruins in 2nd July. 😉 It's filled with so much of God's love when understanding of God's lifting us up in time of trials, and restoration of ruins like Jerusalem's temple. After service, we went to RWS and wanted to utlised the vouchers before they expire. We were pretty aimless and snapping away like tourists. One such babe like this,

20130603-004144.jpg Then we saw Starbucks, newly renovated. Hopped in to chill off before we had for dinner.

20130603-004418.jpg So after much deliberation, Kind of settled with the Malaysia Food Streets. In fact, I was thinking to do a review of the A3+ printer but guess the sleep bugs looking me up. I need to chill and sleep now. Will come back with the review soon.

You are so handsome

Another inspired Layout from the Garden Girls, in Two Peas. I've put in the colors and with the gesso applied to the cardstock, the Gel Crayons are now easier to apply and blend. However, with water, it tends to be very diluted and watercolor base. I've used Mister Huey's and blended with the Claudine Hellmuth's blank canvas. Mixed pretty well and gave off a pastel look behind the dark film strip. All the words, titles are cut with Silhouette Cameo. The Mister Huey Mists were also dropped onto the cardstock to make the distress look. Overall, quite like the outcome of the Layout. Got to tell myself, to keep the mojo running!

Playing with Colors

Have you been messing with colors lately? So overjoyed to came upon this STAEDTLER Glitter Gel Crayons @ our local bookstore today. I wasn't filled with much expectation but when I see that they have stated on the box, Gel Crayons, immediately I get my hands on one pack and was eager to try it out at home.

20130531-021553.jpg Then my journey of art class started. It's been such a long while for me to try messing with colors. Tonight's effect is pretty good I must say. Regardless, when will my Faber Castell Gelatos be arriving. 😉 Happy enough to lay my hands on one similar product to the Faber Castell. Following are quite self explanatory.

Wednesday Inspirations

I love to see the creations of the crafters and scrapbookers online, they are refreshing and new techniques to learn from. Here are some that I came across today. ANNA MARIA using Studio Calico Roundabout June Kit.

in the arms of grace

It was a productive evening for me as I've packed the crafting corner, adjoining my master bedroom. I've been on a shopping spree and have bags of crafty finds, felt that its enough of stuffing them a aside, I had better pack them in the IKEA kitchen trolley I've bought last week. It was on sale and I am so glad that I've got one as my temporary crafting store island. The glue, stamps, inks, mists, paper packs, washi tapes are now within reach. One more important furniture for me is the following crafting table. This table has been with me since 2005! Though it can't be as mobile as it used to be, cause the castor wheels are wrecked, it has been a very faithful piece of table for all my needs.

20130527-031320.jpg

I've packed till 11yish in the night and felt satisfied at least now we have walking space and the kitchen trolley can be tug away neatly, leaving us room to walk to our walk-in closet. My two kids were asleep by then and I went into their bedroom to check them out. As usual, I love to be cuddled by Grace and feel close to her when she gives me a hard squeeze. It got me real inspired and I saw mojo coming and pull out a photo I've taken during a shutter sisters' photography inspirations. I have not been scrapbooking for ages! Hope this layout is not my last one and I want to keep the momentum and mojo coming so as I can leave much more memorable stuffs for my descendants. Here's the layout inspired. 20130527-031337.jpg I've used Knee High collection pack Becky Higgins's Project Life Clementine Core Kit Remaining are the small accents I've done myself, from the embellishment sign, I've used quite a few veneer and also washi tapes.

Blessed Mother’s Day

A Wonderful Sunday to begin with. Wishing all Mommies a blessed Mother's Day. I've celebrated the Mother's Day with my family and extended family members yesterday. Had a great time having a wonderful meal at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant, East Coast Parkway. Prior to that, we went cycling at East Coast Park. The Kids had an enjoyable time. I am excited to share my completed Minibook for my mom. This album, long overdue as my mom always mention that we took so many digital photos but never print out for her as keepsakes. I cut the beautiful sunshine from my Silhouette Cameo.

On the road trip soon?

here's some travel journal ideas to share if you are planning for on the road documentation. I've wanted to do mine for the past few trips but it's really futile. Empty pages back home, if I ever try, i've only manage a page of words and no pictures to tell the story. I guess this trip, I'll do more of it. Bring along my instax as well!

Shimelle Laine's Travel Journal

There's an extensive tutorial of how the journal was made from here.

Ali's version of Travel Journal

Ali Edwards Travel Journal

I really like the Amy Tangerine's free spirited type, especially good for less preparation to bind, and glue the pages. There's one on Brazil and one on Boston-NYC trip. Her simple pre-trip prep:

1. make a little book before the trip
2. take along some supplies
3. glue stuff in as I go.

And if you are really really too busy for a self make travel journal, try this, buy it from Moleskine online. All that's necessary to know about the city is in the book, it's good for leisure or for business.

NYC-Moleskine

However, i especially love the Cahier Book from Moleskine. This would make a good Travel Journal. You can even alter the cover once you are home to touch up the journal.

So, let me not be ambitious, my road trip will then be pack as follow (hope I will document faithfully!)

1. Moleskine Cahier Large Notebook

2. Tape Glue

3. Mini staple kit

4. Mini one hole puncher

5. Black pen/photo pen (acid-free)

6. Fuji Instax Camera (lots of film rolls)

new look for blogpress

After realizing wordpress page editor allows me to insert images into the links, I have manually redo the mosaic links for the favourite blogs I visit. Hopefully I'll be very faithfully update the links.

blogpress

Counting down to the days to the business trip and our holiday. I usually love the anticipating period but this time round, I am stressed out due to the workload (usual), kids falling sick, and also how the customer visit will fair. It's the very first trip for me, in work. I was told "so blessed" to go for the trip. But with the high level engagement and the limelight, it will means more $$$ to bring for the co. right? Anyway, not to blog too much about my work. This blog is my personal space for my personal crafting pursue and also what I've love to share with friends. 🙂

I am totally missing my scrapbooking time. Can't recall when's the last time already. Has it been maybe a quarter? So much so I should just do it. Like the NIKE slogan. Forget the procrastinating........

Let's see if my sleepy bug can leave me alone and I can manage a craft or two.

Here's the recap of how my darling boy has grown...
