Another week passed, time flies and Grace’s already 1.5 months old. It has been life changing with the new addition to the family. Juggling both the prince and princess, learning to handle the stress that comes with it. Although things can get a little crazy but the joy outweigh the stress and the tiredness. Joy of seeing how the both royalties grow and also how Seth dotes his sister. Endearing.

grace @ 5 weeks
Tried taking the photo of Grace and me. with my PnS.

grace looking fierce?
This princess of mind takan me today. She was sleeping on and off again. Aiyo. I can’t even go to the toilet to shit!! When I get up from the sofa, she’ll stir and then whine and cry. She got me stuck to her from morning till later afternoon! Can’t do much things. I’ve planned to do my mom’s alteration of shirts and clean up my mess on table and scraproom. But alas, nothing was accomplished except to do the dishes after my lunch. See how fierce this Grace is?

seth rummaging
Yesterday, Olive Tree was busy packing the storeroom, the scraproom and getting things in order. Seth took the opportunity and rummage through the stuffs that Olive Tree took out. So he was busy entertaining himself to and fro the scraproom and living room with all the goodies he found. Will post pics of the cleared up scraproom later. (As I’ve not done my part on organising my scrap mess!)

playdoh
We’ve bought a playdoh kitchen set for Seth to play last weekend at Toys R Us. It was pretty cheap and he was so happy doing cooking and feeding us with his imaginary food. and yes, it lasted only for awhile and he forgot about his kitchen set already…and into the IKEA storage box it went…..kids….

Seth picking up his vocabulary pretty fast. He can pronounce words like, Vegetables, Crocodile, butterfly, 3 syllabus words, speaks in sentences as well. An incident took place last night that got us LOL.

He was playing and for a moment, so quiet, standing in front of the fish tank. We thought what had happened.
He said, “oh no, fish died already”.

Then we looked at the tank, there wasn’t enough water for the thank, and there were tiny air bubbles blown out from the filter pipes. Olive Tree got a shock. hahhaha…it’s hilarious looking at the reaction of him as Seth kept going, “fish died already”….”fish died already”.

True enough, one of the bannerfish has died. poor thing.

Our Family in Oct 07

So love this very official photo of our family. :) This shot was taken with some difficulty as Seth was very active then and was playing with the sliding door…. I have to get the position right, aim and start the self-timer, grabbed Seth and with all that, be ready for the shot! Thank God, it’s a great shot, as all of us are looking at the camera, even Baby Grace! :D What an accomplishment.

Kodak Moments with grandma

Mom went home last night. That marked the end of her stay with us for my confinement period. I feel so emotional about it. It’s the same when I was in confinement after I gave birth to Seth. Geez, the heart felt so aching (though it’s only her going back home). Spending time with her during the period was filled with a minor downs but there’s no overnight grudges kinda of thing. Mom has always been taking good care of us, in terms of trying to provide us with good food, good cooking, care and love in her ways. Though at times, her demands can be quite “out of this world” but nonetheless she’s my mom.

I enjoy the period she pampered me with tonics, doing the chores for us. Her actions can be very normal but I know that things she did was out of pure concern for us. The way she brighten up when she sees Seth in the morning, when she talks to Grace while carrying her in the arms. Heartwarming. Oh, even when I am writing this, I can tear a bit. See how much I’ve missed her already?

Sometimes, we are so caught up with things around us, the circumstances, the worries, the thoughts that they engulfed our minds. We tends to take a moment and show our love for the loved ones. We forgot to show a tiny weeny bit of concern for them. Only when one is away from us, then we realize that we have not been doing this, telling that, nicer words, better treatments….. I just hope you and I will show the little thoughts of love for your loved ones, every single day, so that you live your life, without much regrets of unsaid, undone stuffs.

Have a wonderful weekend.

We brought Grace to the PD today. Just this morning, when she’s asleep, I placed her on the reclining rocker. Had my lunch and while I was washing up the dishes, heard that she has a few coughs. Then another few coughs followed, thought it could be Seth’s coughing as well, so didn’t check out what happened till I was done with the dishes. When I walked to the living room, nearly had a shocked. As Grace actually vomited the feed I have gave her earlier, her shirt was soaking slimy, even the rocker’s cover is and dripping. AIYO! So heartache. She kinda of vomited her phlegm out in the process, which to me is probably a good way to expel the nasty phelgm.

Olive Tree came back home around 1pm, the wait for Grace’s turn in the clinic was about 2.5hours so we left home around 3pm so that we do not have to wait for the longest time in the clinic. Dr Lilian, gave Grace a check and said that her lungs are cleared. Checking her throat can see there was phlegm. She prescribed a cough syrup, prospan with I can’t remember what’s the other combined drug for Grace. My darling princess have to take medication at this age, I felt so incompetent in taking care of her and not ensuring she’s healthy and all. So for the next 3 days, have to monitor her cough, her breathing. Will cough a bit more frequent coupled with phlegm, and hope it’ll clear up soon.

Seth and Olive Tree have already slept in the scraproom and therefore, now the master bedroom is all to Grace and me. I woke up now as Grace was having some cough and realised that she projectile vomit again in her sleep. Got her sleeves and the bed stained with milk. Why projectile? Cause the milk vomited shot towards my Pajamas as well. :(

For this confinement, it seems that we are not having enough rest. Have been in waking moments, checking out the elder boy last week when he was down with flu bug. Also, Seth’s nightmares. Now, need to wake up constantly to check out Grace. Tiring indeed. All I want is both my kids are well and happy. Olive Tree to completely healed from his conditions of cough, sore throat as well. Seeing all my loved ones so bugged with flu makes me very upset.

Prayer:

Jesus, you are the redeemer, the author and finisher, and you make us overcomer over all situations! These cares we cast to you and know that your promises and healings are fulfilled more than 2000 years ago in Calvary when you bear all of the sins, sickness for us! Thank you Lord for being our Savior and helper in times. Amen!

gracewk03-07Grace develops reflux for the past 2 days. Wonder what’s the cause of the reflux, if my milk is oversupply or is it due to the strong let-down. As when I am breasfeeding her, she’ll kinda choke herself when the let-down kicks in. I was thinking it’s just a case of choking. This morning, while we were still asleep, Grace projectile vomited and I got a shocked! Quickly cleaned her up. Realised that she has some nose dirt to be cleaned as they seems to block her breathing. They look a bit greenish-yellowish, wonder if its normal as this the first time we clean her nose since she’s back home from hospital. Whole day, she had cough a few times, though not consistent but always when I am bfg her or after her feed. It really worries me, as Seth just recovered from his flu virus. Was told to isolate both of them, but Seth’s very clinging and nightmares almost every night. Moreover now, Olive Tree’s sick as well. URRRRGH! I feel very helpless. We got to bring Grace to the PD for a check up to see if medications required for her slight cough. I can’t sleep with knowing that it may be her elder brother spreading the cough to her, since Seth loves to go near Grace and show his affection. If I keep pushing him away, he’ll feel so rejected. It’s not easy to manage.
GraceSleeping soundly in the afternoon. Somehow, she’s grown so fast, comparing to Seth at the same time. Probably is the difference in feeding pattern. Just love gazing at her while she sleeps, or she’s cooing, ahhhing… very cute. I know that Olive Tree wanted very much to hold and cuddle Grace since she’s born. But prior to all Seth’s ailment, he was down with cough and now, after taking care of Seth most of the time, he is down again with flu and really bad inflammatory throat. Totally heartache to see him in this state.

Seth boyWhile this little guy, have been giving us quite a fair bit of headache since the arrival of Grace. Today’s he went back to his “refusing food” manner. I don’t know if it’s due to the fact that daddy’s home, and he starts to TAKAN his daddy by not listening to our instructions/nags. It’s frustrating enough. End up, Olive Tree is too sick to even bother about him and went to take a nap instead. Aiyo. I am so torn between the two kids. One moment, I wanna show my care and concern for Seth, next moment, I need to bfg Grace, change her diapers and all, but I have to bear in mind to keep myself as hygiene as possible, so that means, my contact with Seth has to be kept to minimal, else I will always run to toilet and dettol my hands and arms before I handle Grace. So these days, my hands are super dry!

Seth reading Yes, if only, everyday, Seth can sit down and read a book himself, be as obedient, I would be so much more peaceful. Too dreamy…

Our prayers to God that the diseases and sickness leaves us and we claim the promises of Psalm 91!! AMEN!

Our first family foto with OBGYN Adrian

This being our very first family photo after the addition of new member!! GRACE! :) It was taken today at Adrian’s clinic. We had a good chat on our coping with 2 kids, my conditions after delivery, of course, Adrian as usual, encouraging us to try for no. 3, no. 4!! hahha… He’s like the Gov. spokesperson… AS I would hope to, but let’s say children is a lifetime investment, you can’t get out of it and the investment equates to TIME! With the 2 little kiddos now, we are contented. Thank God for the precious priceless gifts. Also, Thank God, for his righteousness and patience.

Sharing with you the scriptures I’ve read:

I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness:
and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
Psalm 7:17

The fruit of righteousness will be peace;
the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.
Isaiah 32:17

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
Matthew 5:6

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33

It was not through law that Abraham and
his offspring received the promise
that he would be heir of the world,
but through the righteousness that comes by faith.
Romans 4:13

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us,
so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21

rackhangerSometimes, there are questions on my mind, on the love I have for Olive Tree or vice versa. How much we love each other? Ok, mushy….but that’s the fact. Women in general will have such thoughts, whether the husbands still love the wives like courtship days, will the love ever change…blah blah blah… Maybe it’s due to the fact that husband and wife have been staying together for so long, somehow or rather, might have taken each other for granted and will not express the love for one another that often which spurs such funny thoughts.

However, my man has chosen the other ways to show me he still cares and loves me as much. For the little or big things that he do for the family and me. Olive Tree was in my scraproom last night, while I was in the living room watching Oprah. I thought he was doing some handywork for Grace’s cabinets or something for Seth….. This morning, when I woke up, I went to my scraproom and this was what I saw besides my scrap table…. It’s so sweet of him to do this hanger for me to hang my scrapbook stuffs. It’s a way to show me, he know my needs…hahahaha… that’s him, silent worker… but sweet. I appreciate that greatly and thank God for a husband with actions of love. :)

roseIt’s a about enjoying the simpler pleasure of life, to enjoy the moments, even how insignificant it may be. Eg, holding the little hands of Seth, eating bread in the car with Olive Tree and Seth, strolling Seth up and down escalators, tilting him downwards, having addictive hobbies!

Oh and so the new hobby starts from the purchase of a sewing machine. No, I would not want it to be 3 mins kind of passion but a long long one, just like why I love scrapbooking! Yupz, the hobbies I have needs investment but prudence, prudence in spending…

Over the weekend, here’s my loot from the local stores.

fab-retro
fab-floral
fab-spotlight

I so love the turquoise polka-dot, (fetish for turquoise colors lately). The very 1st fabric in big floral prints,…. they are thick cotton, thinking of using them to do mini bags or pouch as a first try before I invest in better fabric, (esp from the States), I so love the recent findings on the net and can’t help but to share with you. Amy Butler Design, flappergirlfabrics, ebay Store-La Chakra.

Blogs that I find are interesting reads on Sewing, especially bags!
1. u-handbag
2. creative controller
3. pinklemonadeboutique
4. The Purse Project

I’ve downloaded some free Amy Butler’s sewing patterns as well. Going to try my hands on the simple sewing soon. I wanted to use the sewing machine so much but this 2 days prove to be too tiring for me as we were out for shopping. Today, attended an ex-colleague’s wedding lunch. TIRING!!

leaving you now with the good reads of the blogs and also the cute little Seth as of this weekend.
seth handsome boy?
