Creativity in a purpose driven life

Looking back in 2009

it's filled with much sadness, anxiety, blessedness and thanksgiving.

With the arrival of 2009, I have never expected the every new year to come will be another set of reminisce and of sadness, mixed with anticipation for the new year.

The high and lows... the trials and gifts.... accounted;

Overcoming the loss of my cousin Leslie on new year day

Stepping out of the comfort zone in NCS and joined Juniper Networks

Made new friends, knowing brothers and sisters in Christ that uphold each other with His words.

Learn to take a step back and look at the big picture.... the hard way

Giving thanks for having a great family

Spending quality time in bonding and making sure you are never stingy in showing love

Reiterating HEALTH and WELLBEING importance in one's life

Parenting the 2 kids, never easy, never peaceful, but joyful and contented

Most important of all,

knowing that God will never forsake, will always lift us up in all circumstances when we let God intervene. Rest in His words and seek His comfort, HE will comfort the distraught, the meek and worrisome hearts.

My Abba, Father, imprint in our hearts the blessings of Deutronomy 28:1-13

1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God:

3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

7 The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

8 The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

9 The LORD will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. 10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. 11 The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.

12 The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. 13 The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

Thank you for a blessed 2010 ahead!

Some test shots

Have realised the repaired 50mm f/1.4 is not performing up to it's mark. Thus, I am trying out again on the 5DMII and learning how to have optimal performance at which aperture and shutter speed. I really wish I can master the of handling the 5DMII soon. Hope it's not the lens issue and it's a EUP matter.

Kids talk

The idea spark when our pal said we have to record down the funny conversations that took place in the stages of both Seth and Grace. Therefore, I shall try to {a-ham.... faithfully jot down in the blog so that I won't miss these memorable moments)

So, during the month of Nov-Dec 2009, the below are the Tiny Talk that took place:

G&S: "I've got stickers! I've got stickers!"
Me: " How about me? Give me!"
S: "No! Cannot!"
Me: " Why?"
S: " Because you are not small enough for me to give!"
Me: " =_=

Me: "What you want to eat?"

Seth: " I want to eat... Pok Pok Cair, Pok Pok Cair!"

Grace: "Seth, I love you."

Seth: "What are you telling me?"

Grace: "Seth, I love you, ok?"

Seth: *-*

Daddy: "you don't run, run, run. you don't jump, jump, jump."

Grace: "want, want, want!"

Daddy: =0

Grace: "Mummy, is this for me?"

Me: "No."

Grace: "Then, What??"

Me: -_-

kids activities

Over the weeks, months and hopefully not half year ago, the kids have gone to a few outings. Sharing some of the shots taken during the outings.

at East Coast Parkway Cycling. It was so breezy that Grace doze off! Imagine how I have to balance and cycle all the way......

Went to Punggol Marina fishing

The only catch of the day : CATFISH

Cuddly cousins

Fighting for brotherly love? hehehehe... Sweet

Enjoy the little things

This one layout that I have completed in Oct, 2009. Then the MBP went dead, changed harddisk and now functional with nothing much installed yet. As usual, busy was the excuse given without having time to do the needful.

I miss:

most important of all

>>Being a mother showing TLC towards the kids

Sometimes, I feel so lousy having to always resort to threaten and invoking terrible thoughts to the kids so as to prevent them from doing the mischievous stuffs. I really hope to be more patience with them. I pray that I will slowly transform into a mother of love than of threat. God, without you, I am not able to be what I want to be, so please help me.

This is a reminder of what I hope for.

Tis the Season

Yep! It takes months for me to come back and update this blog of mind. GEEZ. Have totally neglected penning down the kids progress, updating my creative work. It's never gonna be so easy now with the daily growing demands of the kids and also the work commitments. Especially so for the job I am in. Daily drive and by the time I reach home, I just feel like plonking down on the couch and not even move!

Ok, enough of the lamenting and now, the photoblog of the Christmas Eve Party we had over at my place. Always an enjoyment spending time with family.

Tired waiting out for the party to start

Some Serious Fishing Talk....

The Grandpa with the kids, playing Wii

our family time, family shot is great!

Princess Aval

Noting that Princess Grace is not in the photo as she's unwell that day and was so grouchy throughout the whole week. The family stayed till 2yish in the morning and by then Grace was asleep. My sweetie was plaque with mouthful of ulcers and it was so tough for her to go through, imagining even for adult it's gonna be a killing one with a couple of ulcers. My gal is totally strong and such high pain of threshold to go through this at her age of 2 yrs 4 months.

I was intending to bring the kids for the Chipmunks 2 Movie but then Seth was down with high fever on Christmas Day. HIAZ! Just the sort of untimely event. Both my hubby and I was panicky over the fever as Seth temperature shot up to 40.3 deg C. We manage to sponge him down. Thus for BOXING DAY, we just had to be homebound and have the kids well recovered.

Continuing on with our photoblog, here's another series we took at Orchard last week.

Hope you had a wonderful time spent with your family during the season of giving, Peace and Joy follows throughout the days of your life and a bountiful 2010 ahead!

Leaving you this video of why we celebrate Christmas.
